I'm a Lecturer and Consultant in the IDEA Centre at the University of Leeds, where I teach applied ethics to students in engineering, business, and on our medical ethics MA program. Much of my teaching takes place outside of Leeds in Centres for Doctoral Training across the UK and at the SWJTU-Leeds Joint School in Chengdu.

I completed my PhD (2019) on sexual ethics under the supervision of Chris Bennett and Jenny Saul at the University of Sheffield. I also completed an MA (2014) and BA (2013) in Philosophy at the University of Sheffield.

My research is predominantly in sexual ethics, although I am also interested in issues in social epistemology and metaphysics as these bear on questions in ethics.

Most people call me 'Robbie'.
